Item delivered by RM but not updated on eBay

Item delivered by RM 48 tracking today. Missed a digit on enter tracking number but updated to correct one. RM shows delivered but eBay not. Do I now have to wait 2 weeks or is eBay smart enough to recognise change in tracking and cross reference with RM.

I recently mis typed a digit when adding the tracking number to a sale.     I realised a few days later and edited the tracking.    It took 24 hours to realise i had edited the tracking and then it updated....and funds released the next day.

Not sure when you edited your tracking but if it does not update automatically then i guess you may well have to wait for payment.    Or Plan B contact Ebay CS and see if they can update the tracking to release your funds.

I've done this a couple of times...so easy to hit a 2 instead of a 3 or an A instead of an S or miss a digit entirely. I corrected the error but what I noticed is that when you edit the number, say a couple of days later, it shows up as being posted that day rather than the 2 days before. leading to a late posting of item. Quite a while ago, it didn't make a difference if you posted an item a day or two late just as long as it arrived by the 'estimated' delivery date, thus, avoiding a late delivery defect. Does anyone know if this is still the case? Or, do you now get a defect for posting late?

Mine just showed as being posted when i did and not when i corrected the tracking.    It was just stuck on "posted" until i edited the tracking number.    So no late delivery defect.

I had one arrive on time but I got a ‘seller posted late’ mark.
