It almost certain to say bye to eBay

I have always used Royal Mail / local Post Office when dispatching items sold on eBay.  Professional trained staff accepting and confirming the cost of sending off these items.  Only one package failing to arrive from hundreds sold over the last 15+ years.

I am unable to accept printed labels as no printer or smart phone.

I will refuse to use any other company for delivery.  On my travels, I see too many packages and parcels left outside of front doors and side gates and in full view for all to see. My nearest Evri location is 10 miles away whilst local Post Office only a 10 minute walk, 5 minute drive.

If am unable to continue as I have these past years then I shall be delisting my listings next week.
Previous to the past 18 months, it was “good fun” on eBay … but too many bad decisions and silly changes from eBay management which have not really been thought out … I am sorry to now say I probably wouldn’t miss eBay and I doubt if they are really bothered about me and others also leaving.
Amen

I too,  like yourself have withdrawn my items from sale as I cannot bring myself to bring parcels to my little Post Office with the very,  very hard working family I have known for years,  to receive a paltry 3p per parcel I hand over,  against a 35p fee they earn,  if I had bought the postage from them.

I have loved my time selling on eBay,  I sent my money received to a Children's Home in Lusaka Zambia where I helped out for 34 years,  now I will have to find another way to earn  money for them.

Removed items stay for 90 days in the unsold listings , enough time to prove SD is a winner or a failure for eBay, so can be relisted if things return to as they were.

I fear I'm waiting for the moon to turn to cheese.

I will miss eBay,  but I know they won't miss me.

Yes, it is an attack on local Post Offices too, we need our Post Offices to stay open, especially in smaller villages etc.  I delisted and am keeping an eye on Ebay chat to see if they realise their mistakes.  Although I think it unlikely.  What a shame.

This could be our first real chance to fight back. I suggest anyone that does not like what is happening avails it.

Agree.

I know it's not a consideration for any big business, but cue an increase in mental illness and isolation as well for all of those older isolated people who literally are 'hobby' sellers and use eBay to keep in touch with the world and for social interaction.

In our tiny Post Office, which is also a tea room, we have a weekly eBay group for which is a lifeline for many. The BPF and Simple Delivery will be the death knell for it, which is so sad.

Ebay UK know how to end a party.

So many of us who are delisting or putting sales on hold a month are long term 100% feedback sellers (and buyers) - they have seriously upset their most loyal and understanding users.

What a disaster for them.

Even for those that stay sales volumes are going to be well down as it will be a much less attractive place to buy and sell especially if they keep with the tedious lies and double speak.

High fees and being treated like idiots = Ebay UK. They have been taking our business for granted for too long and that stops now.
