Is simple delivery mandatory when listing clothes now?

 I still can choose my own postage rates when listing accessories but as soon as I want to select it on clothes, ebay does not allow me to opt out from simple delivery and their own rates. I don't just pay for a label or their fees. Why I can't incorporate the cost of posting materials or choose 24 tracked service if this is what I prefer.

It's strange. I can still choose my own postage on t-shirts or dresses but not on coats anymore. The only visible option there is simple delivery and that's it.

I've just tried making a listing for a coat as a trial and I am still getting the option for my own postage.

One thing I will say is I tried changing the options to Collection Only then went back to Postage only and my postage options had disappeared and under Domestic Postage there was this line "For complete seller protection, choose postage with tracking and purchase the postage label through eBay.", you didn't see this and think it was Simple Delivery did you? Underneath, for me at least, there is a bit to click on that says Add primary service and you can select your postage options as normal/

I tried to switch between collection only and then postage only and suddenly it worked again. I was able to select my own postage. Looks like a glitch. Thank you for your tip!

Others have been finding this and reports coming through slowly all day now.  You are not alone.

Confirming all was well yesterday,  but now certain items have seen SD being the only choice.

Most odd ,  as there has not been any announcement to confirm any change ?  🤔

I hope ebay is open and upfront when EXACTLY SD is going to be mandatory in whatever catagory.

I don't want the shipping option changed while my listing is live.
