Is it possible to opt out of Postage Polices any more?
Ebay postage is a total mess. I decided to create some postage policies to avoid a lot of duplication when listing
I've now decided to change some listings to Postage Free to avoid more complications
Seller Hub now only offer the option to 'change' postage policies????
There's no longer an option to create a postage policy with free postage??????
There no longer an option to delete postage policies????
This means you have to change each listing separately
Ebay seem to have removed the option to opt back out of business policies?????
Is it possible to opt out of Postage Polices any more?
or will I have to create a total new account??

Yayyyyyyyyy. I've answered my own question but for anyone with the same question
Is it possible to opt out of Postage Polices any more?
Yes
From eBay front page, just underneath your name, choose > Settings>Business Policies
Look top right in tiny writing and choose "Opt Out"
Your postage, despatch times and return commitments will stay the same on all listing but you will now be able to edit them using Simple Delivery options including Seller Pays 👍😁

It will be mandatory for all Private sellers to use Simple Delivery, link below explaining this vastly new system, and no you cannot opt out !
As for ' Free postage' if you select ' Seller Pays' this equates to the same thing.
Simple Delivery explained here:

I have just received an e-mail saying a new 1-2 kilo price will be available, but there is no mention of SD being made compulsory, it acknowledges that sellers may prefer to use their own service, and even recommends comparing other courier prices. Might this mean that SD will not be made compulsory?

Sorry, I thought I'd answered it in my first post.
Simple Delivery will be mandatory for all Private sellers. It is slowly being rolled out, some are still seeing Custom Postage, that is , selecting your own service and postage charges but this will stop and Simple Delivery will be the only way for all Private sellers soon.
Sellers who have selected their own postage and services are waking up to see their postage have been automatically changed to Simple Delivery, there's no escaping it.
So you cannot opt out of what you are calling ' Postage Policies' this being Simple Delivery.

There is a mention of simple delivery in the very first paragraph they are just tweaking bits and pieces after ' having listened to peeps!' 🤔
Last month, we shared that Simple Delivery will be the only delivery option available for private sellers when listing eligible items. We’ve been listening to your feedback whilst rolling out this change, and are introducing a new parcel size option and new postage rates for Simple Delivery, which will come into effect on 20 May, 2025.
'Whilst rolling out this change....... new rates for Simple Delivery' ....
The last line in that message....
Currently, Simple Delivery offers services from both Royal Mail and Evri. We recommend enabling all couriers for the most competitive postage rates.
It's still a comin' no avoiding it !
