Invalid simple delivery tracking number?

Just sold and dropped off an item and that went fine but when I put in the tracking number, either from eBay or the drop-off confirmation email it says it's invalid?

If you used ebay's Simple Delivery you don't need to add the tracking.   It does it automatically.    If you bought the postage yourself first mark the item as dispatched by opening the original Simple Delivery label.

Then add the new tracking number via View Order Details > Postage > Track Package > dropdown arrow > Add Tracking.   That has to be done on a desktop browser.    Even if you can't manage that  the payment will be released anyway after 14 days.

If the buyer paid for the original postage the cost will be automatically refunded to them in 30 days.

It’s an eBay simple delivery order. eBay did automatically add the Evri tracking number but the Evri website says the tracking number is invalid. Even though I was able to drop off the item without issue and got an Evri drop off confirmation email.

It’s showing the same tracking number on both eBay and the Evri drop off confirmation email, but despite this the Evri website fails to recognise it.

If it's OK on ebay that's the main thing for now.   Hopefully it will update on the Evri site later.

Looks like the eBay site is somehow able to get updated tracking information while the Evri site continues to say the tracking number is invalid. Very strange…
