Heads-Up - Clock Change Sunday 26th October

The UK clocks change from British Summer Time (BST) to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) next Sunday.  Clocks go back one hour.

After the debacle on the last three clock changes and with no communication from eBay I set up a couple of 10 day auctions on Friday night to see whether we had to make adjustments on start times to obtain the finish time we require; as we had to do up until a few years ago.  Auctions are generally set to run for the amount of days you choose; i.e. 10 x 24 hours, 7 x 24 hours, etc.

The two auctions I set are showing their finish time as the same as the BST start time; in effect 9 x 24hours and 1 x 25 hours.

This is useful as no adjustments will be required for auctions listed before next Sunday; providing of course this happens as indicated at the moment, as this has not always been the case.

Useful post and I think you're right that the issue is still happening, ie a 7 day auction starting at 7pm this week (BST) will finish at 7pm the same day next week (which will now be GMT) and the auction will have run for 7 full days + 1 extra hour.  Last time the tech team told the ebay representative that this would resolve itself during the auction which it did not (and it's hard to imagine how it could as it would involve changing the end time of live auctions)

The auction duration policy looks like it's still the same as it was before so this is definitely not working as intended.

The previous thread where we discussed the bug has been archived annoyingly but will see if I can put together a new one summarizing in detail again tomorrow.
