Hi,
Just looking for advice and a rant really.
I sold a spares and repairs Android tablet on the 4th Feb. My descriptions are very detailed by the way. I have sold loads of stuff over the years and never had an issue with delivery or customers generally. Private seller here.
So I messaged buyer to say Thanks for buying the tablet. Asked for his email address for tracking purposes as DPD require one. This was on the 4th Feb. He paid on the 6th Feb. I thanked him for payment. Asked if he understood what he was buying (I've had 2 buyers back out already as they didn't read the description). I got no response to any of my messages.
I posted out the tablet and put my own email on the DPD system instead. Posted out 11th Feb. The shop at his end didn't take it in. I wasn't aware AT ALL that it was Click and Collect shop. It wasn't Argos but a corner shop type place (could be work address ?) I hadn't put the ECP code on and the shop wouldn't accept it and DPD are returning back to me. Ebay need to make it clearer when its a Click and Collect address. I see loads of sellers on other forums have missed out the ECP code because of this issue. I've had it missed off my own parcels but Argos take them in.
I only found out about the shop by ringing Ebay customer service. Have explained this all to my buyer and he completely ignores everything I say to him. I suspect that English isn't his first language. For example, I explained the package is being returned to me and he thinks its being sent back to him right now. I asked if he wants a full refund or wants the tablet still ? Have explained twice that I haven't received it back yet.
Tonight I asked again if he wants a full refund or does he want the tablet still ? Ebay CS mentioned something where the item can be sent out again for free? Instead he says he waiting for the iPad. I have said its not an iPad etc. Again he has ignored me. At this point, I don't want to be dealing with him for the sake of £28.00. But don't want a neg feedback either.
Advice please. Thank you.

Kind of hard to give advice as your post is a bit contradictory in sections. A couple of times you say they don't respond/ignore your messages but then say they still expect the iPad.
If they are ignoring you how do you know that?
But just from the overall vibe of the post it could be possible that they think all tablets are called iPad. My mother has a Samsung. She still calls it her iPad. That's a stab in the dark but could be a answer.

They ignore me when I'm asking for important information. I want definite confirmation that he knows it not an Ipad. Has read the description. Especially if I'm spending postage to resend it out again. Don't want a NAD case.
Bear in mind, they won it on the 4th and hadn't responded to my questions 4 days later!

You probably dodged a bullet with this buyer. When it gets returned to you just action a refund. I don’t take chances if I get a bad feeling so I would add them to my blocked buyer list so they can’t buy again.
If you log onto packlink you can get the buyer eBay members email for DPD, you don’t need to ask the buyers.

Thank you. Didn't know about Packlink as never used it before.

You can also go to the order (on desktop, not the app) and generate an invoice, the buyers’ contact information is also on there I think. I just find it quicker to log into packlink as if I was buying a label to copy and paste the email and mobile number that way.
