I am finding that response to my sales listings have become pathetic, I have spoken to a few of those who have purchased from me in the past and asked them why, the most overwheliming response was that they see no reason to pay the so called Buyer protection Fee.
As a long time eBay member (20+Years with my current user name and previously around 15 years with a different user name) I am a very disappointed user and see no future in continiuing to support eBay, unless of course things CHANGE!

Just another ebay own goal.
If ebay find they are losing out heavily they will soon reverse it.

it is pathetic. they claimed the selling will be free, just to turn around and reinvent the fees on the other end and even higher than before at the end of the day i have to lower prices to be competitive so it doesn't matter if i pay a seller fee or the buyer does. Then they hold back the payments for days or weeks to earn interest, and then offer a very high % for promotions. they've lost the plot. but everyone have to do extreme as the govenment's reactions to the past few years crises were extreme with inflation not seen for decades. and it only gonna get worse as the pension system is in trouble.

It will take time for buyers to adjust to BPF (heck, I sound like an Ebay employee! - I'm not!) My point is that for clothing etc a lot of people will have used Vted and will be used to things this way, but for your niche items it will be a new and unwelcome charge. Ultimately, people will buy at the right price with or without BPF, a good price is a good price, whatever add-ons there are and if they can't get it anywhere else.
It's a tough time of year to sell and money is tight and Ebay is kicking own goals on a regular basis. Best you can really do is add BFP on to your price and make offers that wipe it out so it looks like a good deal.

Used to it on vinted
yes but on vinted clothes go generally for lot less so it’s not a deal breaker
if you were happy with ebays fees before , you can take them off the selling price which should cover the bpf I think

Hi Ed Dreams, you are right, but using Vted still makes buyers more accepting of the BPF.
I agree with you about the old fees and the new fees cancelling each other out, but you have to make the buyer think they have a bargain. All they see is an extra cost to them. They were not aware of the fees eBay took off sellers.

I know
its just an extra burden ebay ave put on people and leave them to sort it out
I tell you if you clocked up the time you spend on eBay versus what you make you’d be on 30p an hour max
