I sold an item through the Global Shipping Programme and dispatched it on December 20th. Since then, there's been no movement. I realise that it has been Christmas and New Year, but I can't help but worry that it should have left the depot and be on it's way to the buyer by now.
Foolishly, I never bothered to get a receipt when I posted it. I was in a hurry and there was a huge queue at the Post Office. Since it already had a Click & Drop label on it, I took a risk and just dropped it in the box. I realise that I have no recourse if it's gone missing. I'm just curious whether anybody else is still waiting for GSP to forward their packages after this amount of time?

All packages to the UK GSP hub should be sent by a tracked method and tracking uploaded so that the seller can prove that they've done their bit, else if it did arrive at the hub, got sent on and ended up going missing during the international leg of the journey, the seller would be obliged to refund.
There really isn't anything you can do here.
Has your buyer opened an eBay item not received claim? If not, it's just a case of wait and see what happens (if anything).

Yeah, I'm already well aware of what I *should* have done but it's too late for that now. However, GSP would have provided their own tracking if the package had left their hub, so I would not need to worry if it went missing during the international leg of its journey.
I just posted on here to see if anybody else was still waiting for GSP to process an item from before Christmas

I've not come across any mention of GSP hub delays on any of the eBay Community boards.

I have 5x GSP packages all going to the USA sent on various days in the last 10 days of 2024 which the domestic tracking says delivered but the GSP tracking hasn't had any further updates. Packages sent to other locations seem fine and any going to the USA this year seem to be updating normally. Strange.

That's interesting. Mine was going to the USA, so it gives me a glimmer of hope.
Although, it's weird that packages sent this year have been updated. It's suggests that it's not merely a delay, but either an lost shipment, or an admin/updating error.

Yeah very strange. One parcel has actually had an update today although it's skipped several of the initial steps usually taken when at the hub. Something isn't running as smoothly as it should be.

Mine finally just updated today - but only to say they'd received it. It still hasn't left the depot, but at least I'm covered now.

Has yours updated further at all? One of mine left the hub on the 7th and there has been no further update since.

Mine is reportedly out for delivery right now.

Mine has now finally been updated. The buyer has already opened an item not received claim though which when opened said a response was needed by the 17th, the expected delivery date has now been updated to the 18th January, can the buyer still ask Ebay to step in on the 17th? dave@ebay would you be able to advise me on this please?

You need to add the tracking you have to the case showing the item was delivered to the GSP hub.

I had a problem the other way around. Bought something from the states and it got as far as a consolidation hub sat there for a month. Eventually the clock ran down and I claimed a refund. Apparently they just sit on things (in the US at least) until there's enough stuff going to the same destination to be worth there while.
