Hey all,
This morning I've had several customers contact me from the US saying that even though they are watching my items, and could purchase them yesterday through the GSP they can no longer do this and all my other items that they are not watching are now no longer showing in the US.
To check this I've had somebody I know in the US check mine, and other UK sellers to see if its just me, but it seems its everybody! they can no longer purchase and the postage option is no longer showing.
Was the US Just turned off? or taken off the list?
Was there any news, or information on this?
This is a big hit to sales as eBay is used for global sales for us.
I know the UK was taken off the international program in the US for toys a few months ago, but i wonder if this is simliar?

eBay doesn't do transparency, after all.

I really wish eBay would make this a priority to sort out ASAP - about 1 in 10 of my listings are showing up with GSP USA postage. It really seems like a lottery at the moment as to which items eBay allows to sent via GSP to the USA at the moment.

Utterly ridiculous that I have to find out from a customer who wanted to purchase an item and with no notice from eBay itself.
Sweden seemed to be a problem country too…………god knows why!
Get your communication sorted eBay after all you keep adding to the hoops we all have to jump through! 🤦🏼♂️

We're heading for nearly 3 weeks of this situation going on with no proper reinstatement of GSP UK-US shipping.
dave@ebay.com / kat@ebay.com / marco@ebay.com , an update would be appreciated along with an explanation of why eBay's not sorting this out across the board. The odd item now has GSP UK-US shipping but it's not category specific - in other words, there's no rhyme or reason to it.

Ah, been scratching my head with this issue. Existing listings are selling to the US, but some I've added in the past two weeks have sold to other countries, but US customers have contacted me to say they can't purchase. Looks like I'll have to sell those outside of eBay.

This reply was on 13th May. It is now the 28th, and GSP to the US and Canada is still suspended..... buyers can't even bid! Why no notification?? You have a duty to keep sellers informed about the situation.
It's all very well people saying to use Royal Mail, but we regularly send items 10kg - 30kg, so that's not an option for us. The whole reason we started using the GSP in the first place was because the couriers were so awful. UPS lost £3000 worth of our parcels in one month a couple of years ago and (although everything was declared as antique and insured through them) they refused to pay anything back, because they "don't ship antiques"! Never again.
Our auctions are really suffering without US sales - it's not good enough.

also the issue I'm having with adding royal mail as an option, is basically turning off all GSP for every other country, as you cant have that active as well as international option for US, so now i have had to reverse back to having GSP for the rest of the world, but have US completely turned off. If someone does contact me i will add a shipping method for them but most items they can not even see, especially Toys.
An update or announcement would be good, but I do thin they are trying to keep it quite until fixed and a new contract with the shippers has been agreed.

You can have GSP active. You simply add RM international postage for the US and don't have to disable US postage in GSP.

I’m in Canada and I can see seven auctions up for you. However, shipping rates range from £29 to £76. Is that typical for shipping via GSP to Canada now?

I am finding this more and more frustrating. I have received orders from the US via GSP this week on some listings, but others they still cannot order. I set up new listings for a customer on both a business account and private. No exclusions, GSP enabled etc.
They got in touch with Ebay Support where Jester (he's having a laugh) stated to the customer that the seller (myself clearly hadn't enabled it as there is no problem shipping to the US). Come on support, game up and give customers the right information or sort the issue out. It's completely sporadic now.

Any updates?

Yes having the same trouble sending to the USA, seems to be international as even sending to Australia is also affected, unsure what eBay have done with the new postage system but clearly isn't working.

Please could I request on behalf of all the frustrated sellers that this issue is prioritised as soon as possible? It appears that the problem is no longer related to shipping restrictions/tariffs to the USA, as we’ve seen certain listings that currently have USA shipping enabled, but rather an issue with eBay not rolling out USA shipping again for all listings. This is now over 3 weeks that we've been had this issue, and undoubtedly has costed many sellers hundreds, if not thousands in business!

Is it helpful to say that I have an order to ship to the US on GSP tonight. I don't see a problem getting a label either. Am I missing something. Should I cancel the order?

This is not a new problem, it’s been going on for years, UK buyers cannot buy dolls from the USA anymore and listings don’t show up on the UK site. I noticed over on eBay.com that the UK doesn’t show up at all if the seller uses GSP, the listing has to say seller sends ‘Worldwide’.
How can the UK just be missing from a huge list of Countries safe to send items to and WHY??

Same, I dont sell a lot but when i do it tends to be US buyers, never had any issues but now i have buyers who have won auctions but cant pay because ebay randomly turned off the US shipping. I appreciate the turbulence with the tariffs etc. but this really is something ebay need to resolve quickly.

President Trump has caused chaos in the international trading order. EBay, the company, has little say in it. The problem could be that companies might be liable to pay the tariffs if their consumers weren't shown them before buying because sellers were not in the possession of the information when making their listings. It is a mess and it is Trump's mess, let us not forget that.
