If sellers or buyers need to contact ebay directly to speak to a 'human' all you need to do is click on the help & contact link on the main page (bottom right) This will bring up How Can We Help You? Scroll down and click contact us. The trick is when using the automated assistant type in Agent after submitting your query and this will allow ebay to give you a free callback telephone service. Agent is the key! and a member of ebay will phone you directly! Because all sellers and buyers are looking for is help. You're welcome! Happy Holidays!

@the-bee-keeper indeed it is and that’s good for you to put it out there given the many posts re ‘need to speak to someone’.
If I get an Ireland call back I’m very happy as I’ve only had positive experiences with them.
However yesterday I got the German call centre, got cut off twice with the agent being no help at all, putting me on hold without any warning, then click and dead.

Yes - I love the Irish accent too 😉

'Have us call you' doesn't always appear! BUT
Typing in the word AGENT guarantees a free call back!

Can you not see the option if you click on the link I provided?

I do not need any help with ebay at the minute!

If it was that easy for buyers and sellers then they wouldn't need to ask because the call back option is not easily found!
No need for the community page then!
That would put you out of a job!
Buyers and sellers are looking for honest genuine support and advice.
I don't see any support team here on the community giving out that information!

That doesn't stop you exploring the link!
The actual call back request is another click after you click on the link, the link does not result in a call back, it's the route to a call back that avoids the chat.
I thought you might have wanted to ask ebay about britauctions.com?

Not very professional to bring up an unrelated topic.

I'm sure you are correct.
That being so I would sooner nail my eyelids to the carpet than call eBay... it would be less painful.
eBay CS are renowned for providing completely inaccurate advice.

Speaking directly to an ebay employee provides clear professional advise.
That is why sellers and buyers are crying out to speak to a human for that personal touch!
Something not offered within the 'community'

The words "ebay employee" & "provides clear professional advise" ( I think advice is the word you are looking for) are mutually exclusive.
At least the community provides correct advice.
I have never understood why anyone needs to call eBay... "Help" on any page provides answers to 99.9% of questions one may have.

If the help pages provided answers, then why are buyers and sellers asking here in the community on how to contact a 'human' directly?

"Speaking directly to an ebay employee provides clear professional advise."
If that were true then why are there constant posts from members seeking solutions adding posts about how poor/wrong/misinformed info from CS didn't help at all and on occasion only served to cause them more issues than they started with.

Laziness and/or ignorance, in a nutshell.
99% of the time they've not realised that eBay has hundreds of guidance pages, and that if you click on the Help & Contact tab top left of most eBay pages and put in a keyword relating to the issue, then the relevant guidance page, usually featuring links, will appear. Even though they can log into a device and use basic features, if they're out of their comfort zone they won't bother to explore.
For example, the most commonly asked questions on Member to Member support are 'What do I do, I've received a not as described/damaged item?' and 'I haven't received my item' - they all say that they want to speak to a human but they don't need to. Waste of their time and eBay's (I'd rather they dealt with account related issues that can't be solved in a minute by looking at a guidance page and clicking on a big blue button).

My daughter was a primary school teacher.
She taught the students in her class 'three before me' if they had a question.
1. Can you work it out yourself?
2. Does your friend/partner know the answer?
3. Can you find the answer in a book?
No, then ask the teacher.
We need a similar idea on Ebay.
1. Can you work it out yourself? (Try using your life experience or common sense.)
2. Does your friend/partner/grown up child who uses all the selling platforms know the answer?
3. Have you tried putting the search term into Help & Contact, top left of your Ebay page?
No, then ask in the Community (or contact Customer Services).
Yes, I am being slightly flippant but, as @*vyolla* says, most problems are not really difficult to solve.

The sort of thing that I doubt one wouldn't ever find in the help pages is that it's worth getting a call first thing in the morning, to get Ireland rather than the Philippines. I never knew that until I happened to read these forums.
