Evri

I buy items regularly from eBay, sadly this simple posting using Evri is just not a reliable carrier.Since they made this compulsory for sellers on smaller cheap items.I have found  that my parcels are taking much longer to arrive, even when they do.The couriers could not care less! Our courier puts our parcels in the recycle bin.The other day, dropped it through the window.Tracking is unavailable. Why would eBay think that Evri is what customers want, no they do not.If a seller uses Evri, I try to avoid a purchase with them.We have had good reliable couriers in the past.Recently they are hopeless!

Try complaining to your local depot about the courier.

I used Evri for most items before SD, and have always found them to be quick and reliable in the main - this is sending all over the country, not just what we receive here. RM now also dump on the doorstep - we regularly go and rescue neighbours RM & Amazon items on their doorstep, left in full view of everyone passing.

Now with SD if buying from a private seller I tend to only use the ones that have Evri selected, as this means I can use the shop-to-shop option which is not only cheaper, but way more convenient as we don't need to worry about being in, we can just collect it from the local shop when it suits. It's a really good option for anyone out all day, with a local drop off/pick up shop, I think some are in Tesco stores.

You can do local pick up from a shop with Royal Mail, using Click and Collect, provided the seller has allowed it as an option. I have several regular buyers that find it very convenient.

Yes, but I prefer to use Evri, and that is only if the seller has it as an option. The Evri is on every SD listing as long as the seller has Evri selected.

I do occasionally use the Yodel one, but the Evri shop is more convenient.

i swap between EVRI - RM - YODEL depending on what i am sending . if the item is less than 1 kg and not fragile or i can use a larger box to pack something safer ( royal mail would charge more for a 2 kg parcel thats bigger ) i will check the actual location .

i wont use the cheaper ones if the door is right at the street as if there is no safe space they would leave it for any one to take .
