Evri item damaged!

I sent an item to my customer last week, it arrived at the Evri hub, and then was damaged, and tracking says it would be returned to me, which arrived back today.

It looks like the item has been damaged by machinery at Evri.

So what do I do now? Ebay or my customer chose Evri, and Evri have damaged the item to the point that it is not suitable.

Who should claim, me or my customer? Where do we claim and how?

Evri item damaged!

Provided this was a Simple Delivery label you should direct your buyer to open an "item not received" case. eBay should then refund the buyer out of their own pocket.

Do not voluntarily refund the buyer yourself - they must open a case. That way you will not be held liable for the refund.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.
