Ebay are still stating selling on ebay is free. I quote: ".....it’s now free, so you keep all the cash"
With the addition of compulsory buyer protection fees, this is now a LIE!
If a seller does not get 100% of the selling price, it is not free, and you certainly DON'T get to keep all the cash.
Apparently over £2bn I profit last year is not enough, and to make more they have chosen to try to fool us all with false information, and highly misleading statements. Its not only insulting, I expect it is illegal to say sellers keep all the cash, when they obviously don't.

Erm... your statement would probably be true if you were a business seller, but as a 'private' seller you should get all of the funds due to you from a sale. Buyer protection is on top of the sale price, so that's a separate matter.

Where does it say 'you keep all the cash'?
Your account is still open with three items for sale.

It's what ebay publishes that matters.
More than one 'private' account, that's unusual.

I can only find 'it's free to sell', which is not what you quoted in your opening post.

Challenging me legally?
I think you are getting me confused with eBay, so you would not get very far with a case against me, but you are welcome to try if you feel that strongly about it.

i have not seen anything on the site that says 'you keep all the cash'. All i can find is that it is free to sell (up to 300 items) and if that there are fees if you want promotions etc. I have not paid a penny to e bay since it started. I get what i ask for from the buyer, anything the buyer pays e bay is their business not mine.

How are you not getting 100% of the selling price?
If you list at £20 you get £20, at which point are you paying a fee? Of course you can pay for promoted listing but that is optional
The Buyer fee is added after so why should the seller get that also or do you want that as well as being able to
List for free,
Having the payment processed for free
Having your inherited pipes advertised across the world and connecting you with buyers for free
Seller protection if things go wrong for free
Feel free (excuse the pun) to add anything else you want for free.

Obviously... the eBay community is made up of all sorts and this is its discussion board. Anyone in the community can contribute or respond to posts without representing eBay.
Why post if you don't want replies?
