It seems that ebay are taking some notice of complaints, as they are now saying they will make payment for items under £25 once feedback is received whether sent tracked or not. Let's hope they pick up on other complaints too and act on them. Continue to make your voice heard to those in charge.

This is an improvement, however not everyone leaves feedback. I had the scenario today where I posted item using Second Signed For on 26th Feb - the only tracked service when you have too many stamps to use. RM has not scanned on delivery, buyer doesn't respend to message asking if item has been delivered. Another item for a different buyer was posted same day and arrived the following day - often the case with stamped packages. The buyer has feedback of 3433 from sellers and has left zero feedback for those sellers.
Thankfully the CS person I spoke to today agreed to release the funds (slightly over £10) tomorrow.

To me it reads only if you use Simple Delivery

Thank you - it doesn't to me as the following paragraph states FOR those using SD... implying that the first paragraph "expanding scenarios" applies otherwise... it requires clarification.

It doesn't read that way to me. Although SD is mentioned in the heading of that section, it isn't mentioned in the body of the text until AFTER the £25 or less text, so, to me, that suggests that the £25 change applies to all sales, not only those using SD.

Maybe you are right anyway i have no listings now not yet deleted but i can't see myself putting them back on with all this total never ending mess

Maybe it would be prudent for one of the Ebay team to clarify 🤔🤔🤔🤔

It reads to me as 2 separate things aswell.
The title for that section of the announcement clearly implies that they are separate things. If the '£25 or less' bit only applies when using Simply Delivery then the word 'and' should not be in the title.
'Buyer Protection: Get funds faster for low-cost items and when you use Simple Delivery'
Also, it states that the '£25 or less' bit applies to tracked and untracked items. Simple Delivery only uses tracked services.

only approx 30% of buyers now leave feedback and some of them leave it more than 14 days later so this won't make much difference to all those payments that are pending ....

'As Simple Delivery evolves, we’ll continue to add even more features to further simplify the shipping process for private sellers and buyers alike.'
Omg... that sounds scary.
A bit like something created in a lab 🤓... rapidly growing out of control... 🐛🐙 👾 👺

The THING
but tracked 48 too
lol
i cna imagine ebay management teams reading the forums saying so and so said this, omg they have a point, *bleep* what we gonna do, bloody hell, ok we screwed up, let’s make an announcement

Yes, I'm picturing it going completely berserk, packing up everything in its path, & posting it to the Global Shipping Centre... (definitely Tracked 48 - it provides a better customer experience... 😄)

Reminds me of that game Whac-a-Mole! Except instead of moles, its unintended consequences of allowing staff who are likely well educated in 'Business' but completely lacking in common sense or business accumen to come up with cockamamie ideas, seemingly on the back of a fag packet, without thought of the consequences of messing about with skint little people!

Poor you - very contagious with no known cure!

Hold on.
Simple Delivery is either
Tracked48 or Evri Tracked, Simple delivery has no untracked service.
So on the face of it the statement is utter rubbish.
However, the fact that eBay and RM can't seem to sort theri $%^£ out with tracking probably means they needed to conceed
