Ebay no longer a seller's market for low value items because of Buyer Protection Fee

As a private seller I have now removed all items listed for less than £10 because I simply cannot sell them because of Ebay's exorbitant Buyer Protectrion Fee. I mostly sell cheap books that I have read and no longer require so, for example, when I listed a used book for £2.00  Ebay added 80p to the price. This is effectively a 40% selling fee despite Ebay's pretence that "selling is free and easy."

So I will be taking my used books to Oxfam from now on so at least they will benefit a good cause, but Ebay is not the seller friendly market place is claims to be.

It's true that eBay's new Buyer Protection Fee (BPF) will impact sales of low value items hard.

Buyers aren't going to buy a 99p postcard with 4% + 75p added on top.

The only workaround would be to bundle items together i.e. 5/6 postcards.
