Well finally after changing the format of their selling platform it seems every couple of weeks you have come up with the ultimate level of stupidity with this latest total ridiculous set of changes. Nobody is going to wait what could be weeks to be paid for a item they have sold who ever dreamt up this idea much be so far from reality as needing to push every part time seller off the site. I knew when they came up with the idea of free selling it wouldn’t be long before the idiots that run eBay came up with totally and ridiculous idea to claw back the money they have lost the whole senior management team at EBay must seat round a table all wearing clown costumes saying what is the most stupid idea we can come with to really get rid of half of our customers and the biggest clown wins with this idea and all the other yes people follow. Well I had started selling a few bits again but never again and will not be using EBay again to sell anything it has become a total joke of a company I hope your poor and flawed decisions finally catch up with this once great place to buy and sell has become a total joke.

I have never had a properly tracked item not show as delivered - I've had the delivery number thingy, when buying small parcel at PO or anything online, not show delivered. About 25% fail

You can flog dead horses on ebay?

Ah interesting, there is a problem with tracking. Do you think they have created too many new systems at ebay and it's all a bit rickety at the moment?

"Ah interesting, there is a problem with tracking."
There already was a problem with tracking. I've loads of examples as both buyer and seller.
& it's not so much rickety as broken now.
I picture them as the Black Knight from the Holy Grail. They've already lost both arms and a leg but they are still hopping around like a lunatic saying "Come on then, I'll 'ave yer".

Am I the employee of eBay that's been arguing in favour of legal challenges against elements of this rollout since it started?
Well if I am I guess that makes me an idiot for doing it on my only account on an eBay forum and it would make eBay even greater idiots for not firing me for gross misconduct after my first post along those lines?
Or maybe you are confusing verbal diarrhoea for a thought process?

I don't believe they would deliberately turn off links to keep hold of money. I'm not impressed with a lot of things they are doing, and yes I think they are holding onto money, and it is wrong to not accept feedback

'We all appreciate eBay itself is a buisness but they are acting without
honesty or transparency with the sole intention of deceiving both seller &
buyer to line their own pockets.'
It's a shame you don't follow your own advice as this is what you are doing by trading on a private account.
You can splutter and use as many emojis as you like but everyone can see your listings and you are not a private seller. ( and a disgrace to genuine private sellers)

Yet another thread deliberately ruined by ill-informed posters just trying to create trouble.
If anyone honestly believes that eBay and courier companies have conspired to cripple the tracking systems, they should probably seek professional help. Although the courier companies will get a lot of business from eBay sellers, why on earth would they risk this, and damage their own wider reputation, by entering into such a scheme?
Thankfully, being a business seller (as I should be), this account isn't affected, but if I found that one particular courier's tracking was continually failing to sync with eBay, that courier would lose ALL my custom, including that from other platforms, not only the custom from this account.
There are problems with eBay integrating its tracking with that of the couriers. However, the collusion isn't happening. As usual, when the question "conspiracy or co**-up" is asked, the answer is, almost always, the latter. It certainly is, in this case.

in actual fact i only have one account and not sure why it would be showing nothing as i have sold 12 items since this system started and bought at least 5 items. Might add that the latest sold was on the 27th. Been paid for all but the last 3, all within the two days because they were marked as delivered, 13th day for the one not marked. I might not like the system but for me it has worked as they said it would. If that makes me an 'e bay minion' then so be it. I actually have 127 items still on sale as well. Then again anyone that says i do not sell or buy and then bothers to read the negative feedback responses tells you more about them i think!

I only use the Certificate of posting tracking number and so far 9 out of the 10 were marked as delivered.

great ghost account, 12 sales since the 5th Feb and 6 purchases...

Your replies to those 2 negs were excellent, certainly hasn't put me off buying from you, you have lovely items, beautifully displayed, and am bidding on one now ! 😊

I know i should give it up but honestly i cannot believe some people can be so deluded. If you do not agree with someone you are working for e bay regardless of what you have said. I state what my experience has been but no one is allowed to have a positive one. Even when i say i do not like the changes and when SD comes in i will be gone and not wasting my time on here.

who does not accept feedback??? I never knew there was such an option.
01-03-2025 2:31 PM
Sorry, that was probably a bit rushed: ebay doesn't accept feedback as proof of delivery in terms of releasing funds.
01-03-2025 5:14 PM
Ebay does now accept feedback. Sort of.
In a 'change of heart', they now release payment for items under £10 only, 24 hours after positive feedback is received.
