Well finally after changing the format of their selling platform it seems every couple of weeks you have come up with the ultimate level of stupidity with this latest total ridiculous set of changes. Nobody is going to wait what could be weeks to be paid for a item they have sold who ever dreamt up this idea much be so far from reality as needing to push every part time seller off the site. I knew when they came up with the idea of free selling it wouldn’t be long before the idiots that run eBay came up with totally and ridiculous idea to claw back the money they have lost the whole senior management team at EBay must seat round a table all wearing clown costumes saying what is the most stupid idea we can come with to really get rid of half of our customers and the biggest clown wins with this idea and all the other yes people follow. Well I had started selling a few bits again but never again and will not be using EBay again to sell anything it has become a total joke of a company I hope your poor and flawed decisions finally catch up with this once great place to buy and sell has become a total joke.

But if you're looking at the 1 day figures for yesterday, between 14:00 and 16:00 the share price was falling.
You say that all shares saw a sell off because of Trump and that most bounced back by the close. Ebay's bounce back was tiny and didn't get back to where it was before 14:00.
Have you got the graph for today so far?
Did the bounce back continue this morning, regaining yesterday's losses or is it still going down?

I posted todays graph earlier, there was a 0.44% drop.
The NYSE exchange opens at 14:30 UK time, I will report back if you wish.

Good for you - insider dealings are prohibited and I am well out of the " markets game " for many a year... have seen first hand the " manipulation"...

Back on topic.
I find it hilarious people ending listings in a protest that will go unheard because that item you took down is being bought by someone else from another seller who has and will make the changes work for them.
I guess the listings will start back appearing when they start to miss the money from the sales.

I've just been told I will be able to opt out of Simple Delivery
Not for long now !
Another story like how they gave us the option to use the classic seller hub via a link that was in t he top right hand corner then one day it was just taken away with no notice and we were then stuff with the new seller hub whether we liked it or not ! 😞
Not falling for this game, don't need eBay anymore to sell my stuff now 🙂

But there are 'droves' of us private sellers who are not going anywhere.
I'm quite happy to carry on selling on here and, while the changes may have been a pain at times, I accept that virtually nothing stays the same for ever. If it did we would not have, to name but a few, smart phones or computers or vaccines or a health service come to that.
If/when they bring in simple delivery then I, like many other private sellers, will adjust to it.

Sorry, I forgot the time difference.
Yes, please do it will be interesting to see which way the graph is going.

From what I know, the seller can still choose the carrier they want to use, so you simply uncheck Evri or RM when listing.

There is an old adage ... " if you don't stand for something, then you will fall for anything"...
I liken it to having integrity - knowing where we stand and what to stand for.

I can see eBay being bought out as their shares continue to fall as a direct result of their greed destroying themselves.
Becoming ever more desperate to recover from greed-influenced changes that continue to back fire and alienating themselves from their customers (buyers and sellers).

Good that you feel that way and money is not an issue but there will many that have to sell that unwanted figure, piece of art, pair of shoes, dress they have never worn to raise money to pay bill, a holiday, pay debts off or just for some pocket money to treat their grandkids.
They are now having doubts about eBay because of all the nayslayers and false rumours being circulated about there being more scams and whatever.
Some people eBay is all they have which is a part of their daily routine, their escape from whatever's happening at home, with their friends or family, there must be 1000s that read and don't post and are terrified about what may happen because they don't know what to believe.
There will be those suffering with mental health who sell on eBay, no confidence, feel isolated and they are reading about eBay will be closed soon if they carry on with these changes and whatever else people spout, imagine how that person feels when there escape is rumoured to be taken away.

Principle - We will not be bullied into and forced to accept something we all don't want or like.
It will only be a matter of time before eBay change something else and all these "other sellers" you're talking about also walk out of eBay too.

There used to be a regular poster on here who had "done everything" and was a self-professed expert on just about everything.
Gradually, his (I'm presuming he was a male) claims fell apart, one by one, until he stood there naked, like the emperor with no clothes.
He didn't seem to realise you can't just make a bald claim in isolation. People had read his posts in many threads, over a prolonged period of time, and realised all his claims, when taken together, simply did not add up.
As far as I am aware, he stopped posting after that.

Okay you are not going to sell or buy anymore, your choice but is there any need to mention it in every post?
eBay will do just fine, they are second biggest marketplace in the UK with 298 million visits per year, etsy has 36 million visits, quite a difference.

I did ask for information for the future not for now - because Simple delivery not available for me at the moment even on clothing... will just wait and see. As Evri drop off is about 8 miles from me it might not come up as an option.

I think you'll find the eBay UK figure is actually around 2.6 BILLION visits per year (which rather reinforces your point).

Now I never said I won't buy from eBay anymore.
Please re-read my posts - I clearly said that I won't be selling on here anymore.
It is eBay's fault I won't be selling here now, if they had only left things be I would still be selling here now like I've done for the last 18 years since 2007...

I didn't say " money was not an issue" ... everyone needs money to "eat" in this world.. unfortunately ...
I said "not everything is about money" ... some have a " place" where they draw a line in the sand as to how much " coercion and dictat " they can take, and some are unable to continue due to the new implementations because of their personal circumstances - each must do what is right for them. If you take a look at the bigger picture as to what eBay are " purchasing" to add to their " books" so to speak it is easy to see why certain seller " categories" are being pushed to their limits... they are not wanted, so eBay can "coin" the markets... take car parts for example and have a little look into that.

I remember them well, I think.
They were a seller of greeting cards? But spent most of their time baiting private sellers and little time on their business?
They did stop posting and all their listings disappeared.
I always thought the business was a front because what seemed to upset them more than anything was private sellers who refused to send the "expensive collectables" when they found 'bargains'. It seemed to happen far too often to be just bad luck. IMO they were up to something shady that either got them shut down or they just became too well known to get away with it any more.

will have to wait...
