So you've spent years building up your seller feedback. You've never had a return, or a negative - but then you move country and ebay tell you to open up a new account because it is technically difficult for them to move your account.
I find it disgraceful, they constantly harp on about building your feedback and reputation, and then you lose it all because you've had to move.

Funny thing is that when I first left France for Ireland, I didn't know all that and called eBay. First thing I heard was "thank you for being a member since 2002" and last thing was "you gonna have to close your account and create a new one". I know these calls are scripted, and the guys are just following the rules, but that was hilarious 🙂 Otherwise, you're right, I am keeping my Irish account.

All the feedback and reasoning we got from eBay as to why they do this has been fantastic: this thread is just burgeoning with help from eBay.
Thanks eBay! Remember the good old days when you'd make hundreds of quid in sellers fees from us? You're worth every penny of the ZERO you're making from us right now. Lol 👍

Not read the whole thread but you could put at bottom of description on all listings , I think you can do this in bulk editing too
as well as templates) a link to your old account and explanation see my feedback from previous account registered as moved country etc

Tried it.
One issue is anyone filtering by seller rating won't even see your item. Another is the whole premise of the footnote looks super scammy, because surely eBay would have a mechanism to port that feedback, right? This isn't some Mickey Mouse operation that would be that slipshod and obtuse!?
Can't blame any buyer for thinking there must be something shady in it.

Maybe eBay can do what ebid do
A,low transference of feedback from elsewhere
not rocket science
transfer your feedback if you transferred to another country and had to create a new account
