Just been reading the seller announcment & watched the video to go with it.
Didn't like the look of this:
"If you don’t comply with the UIN regulations, eBay may charge you the corresponding eco-participation fee. This may be more expensive than paying the recycling organization directly."
France now blocked!

Any idea how to block French customers from buying from you? I use the Global Shipping Program to sell internationally and there doesnt seem to be an option to configure where you ship to

Sorry - ignore this - I found where you can exclude countries in your buisness policies.

It says it does not apply to private sellers...
Another reason to register as a private-business
Edit:
Just looking at some of them recycling organisations.... Now it looks like you need to learn french to even read the website. Then you need to learn the french legal system....
No thanks.

The eco loons are ruling the world. Soon we will get sent to prison for using too much packaging.

We blocked Germany re some packaging rules. Maybe this is going EU wide. Given we get charged a % on an overseas sale plus currency fee whatever makes you wonder if worth doing GSP on listings. Buyers also moan at GSP shipping charges but alternative is more hassle and less cover for sellers and buyers adopt an attitude of entitlement and you are a bad seller if not pepared to jump hoops for them.

Hope not, that would mean amazon will fail and all we have left is eBay.

Just bringing this back onto the board. I blocked France a while ago but I'm doing a review of postage settings. Watching the video back if your EPR France requirements are just for packaging (which I think mine are), don't we just need our packaging suppliers UIN?
If we just need our packaging suppliers UIN does anyone know if eBay official packaging has a UIN and I'll just use eBay packaging for shipping to France?
Or alternatively has anyone found a supplier with a UIN for packaging?
