Damaged Item

I'Ve posted an item with simple delivery (ebay paid) but the glass on the frame got broken.  buyer has said the packaging was perfect.  They do not want a refund or  to return item.  The buyer is trying to contact Evir should I also try and contact them? what happens now, fairly new to selling.

Ask the buyer to open a "not as described" claim and choose "arrived damaged".

Under Simple Delivery the buyer should receive a full refund and you get to keep original payment.

Not many couriers cover anything with glass in it anyway.

Neither you or the buyer has a contract with Evri.  With Simple Delivery, eBay is the deemed sender and any compensation/protection is provided by them not the carrier. 

If your buyer opens a return request and specifically selects 'Arrived damaged' as the reason then eBay should refund the buyer themselves at no cost to you.  You get to keep the original payment and there will be no need for the buyer to return the item.
