Contacting bidder no advanced search

Hi,

I discovered damage on an item I am selling but there are 3 bids. I want bidders to know about the damage (item is still usable) but cant contact them. I cant find advances search as per instructions and I have searched for bidder via their username but it just comes up as no seller found.

I don't know how you can contact a bidder, or even if it is possible, I only have one listing as an auction and no bids so can't check myself.

You might be better off cancelling the bids and ending the auction and relist so you can add the damage to the description and the condition box.

Re: Contacting bidder no advanced search

I too have no current auctions running so cannot check for you,  but using a PC / laptop and Chrome not the app or mobile browser click on the bidder's ID ,  on the next page which appears does it not say at top right... Contact Member ?

If not there I cannot think of any other way to contact a bidder, sorry.

Good Morning Wook

See if they are selling anything and if they are you can contact them via 'Ask the seller a question'

Are you able to add a line to the description about the damage?  Not sure if you can do this after a bid has been made though.

Re: Contacting bidder no advanced search

if from the item page you click on bids, the names of the bidders will show, i dont think theres a contact message from there but if you click on each name individually it will take you to their ebay page, you can message to inform them of the item & th damage & offer them the option to cancel their bids if they want

Agreed. Even if you do manage to contact the current bidders, there may be others watching your listing that will bid later without re-reading the description. When you relist I'd also recommend putting something like DAMAGED in the TITLE, as you can't guarantee bidders will read the description or condition notes...

Re: Contacting bidder no advanced search

If there are still more than 12 hours left to run, I'd just end the listing and then relist with an updated description, only because most bids come in during the final few moments of an auction and you won't have time to contact those bidders.
