Someone found the dates yesterday and posted them. Just thought it made sense to make it easier to find.
It's in the Help Section under Opt out
Simple Delivery will be the only listing option as of 15th April and they will start adjusting current listings from the 7th April.
So at least we know where the Iceberg is now.

When you put the price etc, below that you have a buyer / seller set of options highlighted. If you click seller then the listing will show free postage, if you click the buyer then they pay and can decide on all the available formats and prices and 24 or 48 etc

The rollout of this has been appalling - I don't like not knowing when my listings will be changed. I'm lucky in that they have not yet, but as I will not use SD for any of my items under £20 (currently sent 2nd Class signed for as I have stamps to use), I'd like to keep the listings live as long as possible in the hope of selling things.
It would have been simpler if eBay had stopped the auto re-list for anything after implementation date so that if we wanted to re-list, we could have chosen to and added the relevant data so that postage was correct.
Admittedly, this would have affected those Private Sellers with 300+ listings, but at least everyone would have known when the changes would be implemented. Personally having 00s or 000s of listings would not be viable as I don't have the space and not quite sure how I would organise to ensure that I can quickly put my hand on the item or cope if lots of people suddenly decided to buy something.

It is clear that EBAY don't want private sellers - this new simple delivery tool is a blocker to me who is just trying to sell items and have choice how items are shipped. The postage rates do not take into account how much it costs to buy packaging etc and one case where AI algorithms simply don't work (as referred to by other posters). I have always tried to select best shipping for buyer but now i would be losing.
The only work around I can see to avoid me being out of pocket and turning up at post office and having a parcel rejected to size/weight defined by EBAY is to classify everything at 10kg/ medium. BUT even with that if I understand it I don't get the postage £ from buyer so still can't recover packaging costs.
Sales over past 6 months have fallen off cliff anyhow so losing a few more buyers will make no difference. As it stands I think I will clear out the current listings and walk away as it is not worth it. Doubt EBay care and it is a sad day when a platform that worked for buyers/sellers has ended for i reckon a lot of small sellers.

yes, sadly packaging rarely seems to enter the equation nor the time to take the item to the post office etc - somehow the customer magically gets the item !

I do not like Simple Delivery, as my customer bought 3 items and was charged full postage on each item, when the weight was only 1kg for all 3. There is no option to discount postage for customers which will put customers off purchasing several items from one seller.

Free postage still has to go through Ebay for the label which the seller will have to pay for instead of the buyer and no cash for collection any more

If you are going to deliver to buyer's homes, remember do not leave , or leave the item, without scanning that all important QR code, the buyer must give you, as it's your only proof of collection.

I was messed around royally on Sunday by someone who wanted to collect so I agreed and they didn’t turn up. They then expected me to agree to it again for Monday and I said no. This sounds negative, I have had nice people collect but a lot of times it is not a good way to sell on eBay, too many messers.

I had to block 5 in a week on a local selling site so collection for me would only be used for large items
