Collection only, sort out postage afterwards?

Could this be a way around the stupidness of Simple delivery? I'm thinking of adding the cost of postage to an item, then saying collection only on all posts, then putting in the description that I'll happily post the item via Royal Mail's "Drop and Go" service when they send their address and collection code.

Obviously they'll have to trust the seller a bit and it could possibly be abused by unscrupulous sellers, but my rating would hopefully go some way to appeasing the buyers. 

But would that work?

No buyer is going to give you their collection code without standing on your doorstep to collect their item, plus you're limiting your buyer market to those that are searching for collection items in a specific area.

I can't think of any buyer who would send the collection code for an item they haven't collected and how would they pay postage if they did ?.

If i saw an ad that said all that i would hit back button.
