Im currently trying to purchase a shipping label for a guitar i have just sold. I seem to be unable to send this via RM/Parcelforce. The largest package dimensions it allows for is 61cmx46cmx46cm.
The only option that will facilitate a parcel of this size is UPS via Packlink?
Should i just take the parcel to my local post office and do this manually? Ive never had this issue before, the drop down box for RM/Parcelforce wont go beyond "Medium Parcel" size?

Don't use Packlink!
They will probably turn round and tell you that you owe them money for delivery of a pregnant elephant that had triplets on the way.

Ive sold items larger than this before and had no issue selecting RM/Parcelforce. Ive never used Packlink and i have no idea what it even is.
If I cant resolve this issue then I will need to refund the buyer and pull all my listings.
Ive had it with this website.

Parcel force do package up 2.5m by 4 m doubt your guitar is this big even with tons of packaging.

Can you not change to large parcel you've selected medium.

The drop down box only goes to "Medium" for some reason, ive tried messing around to try get other options from it but it will only allow medium for some reason.
The package is 84cmx45cmx22cm

Packlink are the scam artists of the courier world. Constantly sending out fraudulent surcharge notices to customers.
& I haven't sold/listed since before the 4th so don't know what changes they've done, listing side wise.
But if they are only offering Packlink for large parcel sizes that is straight up bad.

Try changing the weight. Looks like you can go upto 20kg.

I tried 10kg for the parcel weight (even thought its not) to try trick it into allowing a "Large Parcel".
Never changed unfortunately.

Unless the different courier companies operate different sizing for large/medium parcels that looks broken and probably should be flagged so they can fix it.
I only used Royal Mail and the dimensions you quoted are well past their medium.

Don't use the ebay options then take it to the post office then manually enter the tracking to show you've sent it.
I'll assume this wasn't a simple delivery as in ebay send you a label. Not 100% how they look when dispatching i assume its all automatic.
This is the importance of setting package details now.

Il buy the postage labels for the two smaller items and il take my package to the post office and try go about it manually.
I always send my items tracked via RM/Parcelforce with no exceptions.

Does it give you the option to opt-out of managed postage?
Try choosing 'other courier' as an option, from there you can select Parcelforce Large parcel. Evri will also take upto 120cm in length and may work out cheaper.

No i always manually input my package dimensions and weight. Im never comfortable leaving it up to eBay to decide.
Il do as you suggested and report back.
Thanks for the input.

Definitely a better idea than Packlink.
& if that's eBay's plan for Simple Delivery I will never be selling a single Large Parcel Sized order through them ever again.

I read on another thread they will be phasing them out and doing it themselves , much better deal can be had with the volume they will buy.

So Packlink Mk3?
Where they send you surcharges for delivery and the buyer gets charged a protection fee?

Im just using the postage section as i always have, when i receive an order i go to "Buy Postage Label" then i select "Get Labels In Bulk" Ive never done it any other way.
I wont have these new changes forced on me so il just stop using the platform. I refuse to use Evri as ive had many bad experiences with them.
Im very strict about using RM/Parcelforce as they have always been consistent and packages never arrive broken or overly late.

I only use royal mail direct account get a surcharge at least once a month, it is not just packlink they probably get surcharged from the carrier so then pass it on.
Defend with your evidence its not correct.
I do with royal mail and win every time and get a credit note for the same amount.
