Can I stop buyers pre-paying labels forcing me to cancel the sale??

Can I stop buyers pre-paying labels??

Just made another sale that I'll have to cancel because the drop off is too far away for me. Next theyll expect me to drop it round their house Grrrrrrrr

I have my parcels collected and that's the postage fee I advertise. Any way I can stick to those terms of sale???

I have postage policies set up

Your items must have been enrolled into Simple Delivery then. (it is *supposed* to be mandatory for all private sellers ....sooner or later)

And as it's S.D., you can't stop your buyers 'paying for postage' as that is part of the point of S.D.

UNLESS you have your sales marked as 'seller pays postage' (the equivalent of the old system 'free postage')

It's not the buyer's instance that you have to drop the parcel wherever, it's the S.D. system's fault : buyer's are only given the choice of 'Standard' postage or 'Express' postage, not which delivery company provides those services.

(If you need more info about what S.D. is and how to get to grips with it, there's a lot of threads on here to read up on!

Edit-spelling..

If you've been forced into Simple Delivery then no, you can't opt out.

You can change your preferences to allow only Royal Mail and not Evri.

You can still book collections for packages on the RM web site, but from yesterday there's a charge of 30p each.

Sadly that's ebay's long term solution however you might have noticed the RM-only prices that ebay offer are very unattractive so if you have still have access to advanced options it's usually worth switching for listings back to custom delivery for as long as possible so you can offer your buyers the best RM price.

I check my listings every day for the simple delivery virus and disinfect them if found.
