Buyer

I’m sick and tired a buyers with zero feedback , who have just recently joined eBay, winning an auction then not paying. All new members to eBay should be on a buy it now basis for a period of 6 months to prove them selves. Most are clueless as to how things work.
Does any eBay decision makers read this?

Re: Buyer

Absolutely and utterly disagree with you.

If you want to put things in place to STOP bidders from buying, give them a 6 month period.
That would be a million times worse than a new buyer.

We are all new at some point.

Of far more importance, are those sellers that purport to be private, yet are business.....
Maybe you should look at a business account!  Make the whole of Ebay a fairer playing field!

Re: Buyer

I disagree with you. To date , all the non payers who have failed to pay have zero feedback, and are relatively new members.
They should earn their ‘stripes’ and only buy it now for 6 months. If I see any zero feedback buyers , I’ll block them immediately.

Re: Buyer

Strange - some would argue that a private seller with 29 guitar listings and 23 feedback in a month (feedback isnt usually a reflection of all sales so likely more) shouldnt be masquerading as a private sellers and getting free listings and not paying the correct fees - but here we are

- And please dont tell us you are selling your private collection as all your 298 feedback for a year are guitars! Maybe comply yourself before complaining about others 😉

Re: Buyer

I don't know why non payers concern you.

You leave positive feedback so obviously regard it as a positive experience.

Re: Buyer

That is a bit of a silly statement.  You can't leave negative feedback as a seller!

Re: Buyer

No, people are far from jealous of you.
You clearly do not understand the law and selling, as you are trading illegally.

Those of us with common sense, trade within the rules.

"silly" is leaving positive feedback for a non payer.

A savvy seller would not throw other sellers under the bus.

Re: Buyer

yes we have our fair share of timewasters on vinted they,re bain of my bloody life

despite that i seem to sell my shoes and clothing better on there than on e bay

so i,ve come to the conclusion of run of the mill on there and put anything decentish on here

but it just seems to be so slow on here im getting hits but no nibblers on b.i.n  and auctions are a waste of time no one seems to bid on certain stuff  only ask between £3 for jeans tops and shoes and £4 to £5 for the better stuff i,ve even seen clothing on for £1.15 or best offer i,d rather give it to the sally army than stoop that low

Re: Buyer

Of course you cannot leave negative feedback, hat's why eBay brought in the unpaid strike, so much better, if sellers bother to use it.

every one is entitled to their opinion but the seller is talking about non paying timewasters i assume you dont have that problem or just smile sweetly at them as for the B/A ...change the record that comments grown a beard

Re: Buyer

So am I now not allowed to disagree?

Frankly,  whether someone has zero feedback or 1000 feedback, it makes little difference in regard to none payment.  It happens all of the time and it's one of those things.
But to make it really awkward for buyers to buy, just because they are new is an insane strategy.
