I recently sold two lamps, they were packaged well and they were made from Arcylic hard resin not glass. The Buyer recieived them damaged and they were torn apart. She recieved a full refund from Ebay and I asked her to send them back. She is now saying I have to do a returns label for them, but there is no where that says I can do them? As Ebay gave her the refund and they dealt with it.
Does that mean she gets to keep the damaged goods?
I have had a few returned goods from other sellers claiming their parcels were damaged. This seems to be a on-going issue with people getting refunds for false claims. Is anyone else been experiencing this type of thing?

If eBay provided a refund to the buyer that means that you must still have the original payment from the buyer, so are not entitled to ask for your items back - you've been paid for them.

They bought from me. It didn't come out of my bank account. She asked if I wanted it returned and I said yes. How is that fair for buyers to keep the item and claim back refunds?

Using your own logic, how would it be fair for you to keep the payment, AND have the items returned to you?

I'm failing to see how it's unfair if you sold an item and received a payment for it.
What happens thereafter is between the buyer and eBay.

the bottom line is that if anyone owns the goods its eBay, so its up to them what, if anything, is done with the goods.

Yes - this is the way it works now. If the item is sent with Simple Delivery, and it arrives damaged, eBay cover the refund and the buyer does not have to return the item.
Did you see the photos of the damage? Unfortunately, an unscrupulous buyer could falsify/exaggerate the damage, and end up with a full refund and the item.
I think sellers should be given the option to handle the refund & have the item returned (or allow the buyer to keep it), if that is what the seller would prefer to do.

Good Afternoon quirk
You must have used simple delivery (for the item) and thus if it arrives damaged/broken eBay step in and refund your buyer.
You have not lost out in anyway shape of form. You have been paid for your item and your buyer can now do what they want with it. It is their property. This is a situation where SD has 'come up trumps' for you.
