Buyer gets E Bay to cancel the transaction after I had sent the item. Buyer has item but won't pay

So the buyer offers the correct amount for the item ( wrist watch worth £1300) and I am shown the money is with ebay, so safe to post  the item. Tracking shows it arrived at the address he provided. Photo of person getting it. Then various queer emails to me personally avoiding ebay ( where did he get my email address) and asks for more money?? Then Ebay cancelled the transaction because of  suspiscious activity by the buyer and now they won't pay me> and difficult to proceed as theyn have cancelled eveything. A matter for the police I think?

No,  it's not a matter for the Police.

Obviously this buyer was breaking major eBay rules asking for money ' outside eBay',  looks like eBay have removed that buyer from their site, and maybe money from that transaction will be placed on hold for further investigation, it's  a lot of money,  so this will be investigated thoroughly , as eBay have access to all messages going through their system.

I would contact eBay Customer Services ask them to explain what is now happening, as the buyer has been removed,  item was sent,  as money initially was paid.  Will you still receive the buyer's money ?

This is the easiest and quicket way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

 https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/eua?id=5275&mkevt=1&mkpid

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Where did this information come from? An email?

If you log into your eBay account (not via a link in an email) does the order show as paid within your eBay account?

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

Just to clarify as I cannot see the watch sold on this account, i presume it was on another? When you state "I am shown the money is with ebay" what do you mean exactly the buyer showed you this or you could see it in  your payments tab in the seller hub, thus you proceeded to send the item?

You, as @tressygirl mentions need to speak to CS as a priority in the morning, as its unclear whether you have been part of a scam which is why I am asking the points above. We need to clarify that as well.

If your other account is a business one where you sold the watch from for example then email details are shown on the accounts, which is where they could have easily got your details from.

Can i ask something? Why would the buyer be asking for more money?

What did the messages demand, or ask or say, we have no access to your accounts so only can act upon what you tell us or post as images here.

It would also help us if you could answer the question I previously asked, and in similar vein @4_bathrooms  has mentioned.

Good Evening FW

Your question doesn't make any sense at all but I am guessing that you sold the watch and then received a message purporting to come from eBay, but it was infact sent by your buyer, with possibly a link confirming that the £1300 has gone into your account.

You send the watch he receives it and eBay then cancel your buyers account.  If this is the case then you are stuffed.

Is my interpretation of what happened correct?  Further more what is this business of your buyer asking for money?  It doesn't make any sense at all.

If you set out your problem once again giving us the full clear details then someone may be able to help you.

Come back with an explanation of what has gone on.  If you don't wish to return then do as TG has advised and maybe eBay can offer some help.
