I see that someone from Japan has tried to bid on one of my items but has been blocked. I have double-checked and have included the country for delivery purposes. Does anyone know why the person is still blocked from bidding?

In the buyer requirements activity log there should be an "Exempt from buyer requirements" button. If you select the user in the log and click that button it should make an exemption for that specific user:
Apologies, I forgot about that button earlier.

Assuming you haven't blocked their user ID the reason might be shown in your buyer requirements activity log.

In the buyer requirements activity log it says "buyers in countries to which I don't post" and actually includes the buyer's username which is unusual.

It might be due to them having a "primary postage address" registered in a country that you don't post to. You could try temporarily turning off the "Block buyers whose primary postage address is in a location to which I don’t post" option on this page and see if doing that allows them to bid.

Thanks for your suggestion, but that would be fraught with difficulty as there are so many countries that I do not want to post to and would not want any unwelcome bidders.

It could also be the fact that they have had too many unpaid strikes in X months, well if you have this option ticked, that will block them from being able to bid as well

The reason the bidder was blocked is the last column shown in the buyer requirements log. The OP's bidder must have a "primary postage address" in a country the OP doesn't post to.

Well pardon me for offering another option to look at, as that will throw up a block as well.
Japan is a good country to sell to, many a loyal customer over there.

As per the OP's post #3:
"In the buyer requirements activity log it says "buyers in countries to which I don't post"

Thank you! I have included the potential bidder in Japan on the exemption list and hope that he or she will now be able to bid!
