RE: Untracked Oversea Mail.

Has anyone else experienced lost overseas mail?

All of my low ticket items (ie under £20) sold overseas are sent untracked because buyers will not pay the £8 or so for tracked mail.

In the last few months around 10 items to the USA, Sweden, Italy and Australia remain undelivered 2 to 3 weeks after posting.

The worst example was a sale to Eire that took TWO MONTHS to be delivered! Thankfully the buyer was honest and we sorted out the problem.

All overseas post I send is correctly addressed with the correct CN22 Customs label.

I am seriously considering selling UK only.

I seldom despatch internationally, but recently sent a sample to France.  I didn't use Tracked because the cost was too much just for a sample.  The delivery aim was 3-5 days, it took 12 days.

The buyer ordered, I have sent two parcels Tracked, and they both arrived in four days.

I think perhaps the answer is to refuse international orders when the buyer won't pay for Tracked delivery, rather than to refuse all international orders.
