Hi, I have acquired some pretty porcelain rouge pots or ointment pots, whilst searching for any marks I have seen some barely visible Nos and letters (No9RG73EZ) etched into the lids and the bases of two separate pairs, the pairs are not alike but they probably came from the same collection. I just wondered if they would have been put there by an auction house ? or who / why?. They look simialr to the repairers marks etched into a watch case. I am not sure how old they are but they are decorated with scattered flowers.many thanks.
