Hello, this ceramic studio piece has been baffling us for over ten years! We took it to an auction house and saw their in house art pottery expert. He was pleasantly amazed by the piece but after several days of research and calling various experts, he could not tell us the artist. I contacted the Bernard Leach foundation at St. ives, i spoke with thier collections manager, who was also very impressed with it, and said it was one of the most striking things he'd ever seen, and added that who ever did make it was extremely skilled. But could not tell us who made it. We are wanting to sell this item on ebay but would really love to know the artist before we do. We would be so so grateful if anyone can give us any assistance at all, or even point us in the right direction. Thank you.
