Hi
I have an old set of tableware and would obtain more information as to whether it is of any value. I have attached a photograph of two of the pieces, and the mark that is underneath.
The set comprises of two large serving platters, two oval dishes with lids and the sauce/gravy boat with plate attached. Any advice would be appreciated as I do not know whether it's worth selling them or whether to just throw them! Any advice would be appreciated 🙂

Hi,
your set looks nice and is made by the Bavarian manufacturer Freidrich Kaestner. I think the backstamp dates to between 1920 to 1935. It is a very collectable make and the factory ceased production in 1971. See if you can find the pattern number and search online for other listings to get a price guide.

Thank you, that is really helpful. I tried a local antique shop and they told me they are only worth about £15 for the whole set so are not worth buying. I think I may wait for a free listings week and start it off at about a fiver to see if I get any takers!

I'd be EXTREMELY surprised if you only got £15 for them, I'd reckon £30 to £50 would be a reasonable starting price, particularly if you post them for worldwide sale, Australian and US markets are good for such items. I think that the dealer may be trying to get a good deal for himself, howver without knowing the patterns etc it is difficult to say.

Thank you, that has given me a bit of confidence! I'll take some pics of them all and start them at the starting price you suggested. Really grateful for your help, thanks!
