I have a very old WEDGWOOD inscribed jug...brown transferware...no spout... I am wondering about the applied pottery diamond shape...can anyone help dating this piece... Rough condition
According to 'Miller's Antiques Marks' book, the indented Wedgwood mark as shown on your jug would date this piece at c.1759-69 - maker - Josiah Wedgwood & Sons Ltd, Tunstall, Staffordshire, UK c1759 - 2009. Hope this helps.
