simply delivery pricing points randomness

hello

bit confused by some of the simple delivery pricing points ...

in some categories, e.g. "Grooming Collectables in Collectables > Vanity, Perfume & Grooming" the parcel weights offered (in kg) are 1, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20

in other categories e.g. "Other Pottery & Glass in Pottery, Ceramics & Glass" the options are 1, 2, 15

meaning that in some categories i can price postage at 5kg but in other i have to select 15kg which is way too much for a 3kg parcel

is there a reason for this or are all the pricing points AI generated randomness?

Nobody else has replied so some guesses are-

-ebay's algorithms choose which carrier they want to use (preferably), based on the category and so show weight bands suited for that carrier.

-for some unnecessary* reason they define bands/cost per category and haven't got around to updating one of them.

(*) They do "have" to differentiate between categories where you can use Simple Delivery and those you can't, but I wouldn't coded it myself to use different bands just for that.
