this is a complete failure. I like to post my items for next day delivery now i don't have that option and this does affect the feedback as they use the cheapest option and delivery is delayed. i believe it is not an option to not use it and if you print a label it is marked as despatched if you then post special delivery you cant change the tracking number therefore e bay will believe it has not been delivered and put all your funds on hold. the system is flawed it is rigid and a complete failure. if they use the post office tracked system they charge the buyer your customers £10.95 and the actual post office price is £9.35 thus making £1.60 per large letter .That is the only reason making a profit on every sale you make and your buyers get a worse service which can only reflect badly on you.

When I buy a Simple Delivery item going via Royal Mail, I am given the chance to choose T24 expedited service instead of T48 if I wish. eBay also protects the Seller from Neutral/Negative delivery related feedback. The SD cost for these services is cheaper than Custom Postage, so I prefer it.

On royal mail website it is much cheaper then the post office, so I can't see any benefit, plus I ytack and insure everything, it was the reason I left Ebay as seller but also as buyer since it is a nightmare, evri is forced on some sales, and people doesn't know how to change it in case.

When using Simple Delivery your items are tracked and insured for up to £750.
True, some sellers do not know how to de select Evri from their postage options, but it is possible in their Site Preferences.

I have full control with the delivery service of the insurances done on the items, and i am the person they have a contract with, so they don't complain, I don't trust Ebay who care less of me, in defending me against them where i have no control of whatsoever of the claim and cannot even deal with the postage service myself to defend me. Just too risky, and not worth it. I have a couple of item passing that amount as well.

Combining postage was a long term issue with SD, but now solved, and many sellers and buyers not aware of the procedure.
Buyers need to place items in their basket first, then at eBay checkout, a combined postage is shown for the buyer to pay.
This may help you, add a note at the end of your listings, something like ....
' I am happy to combine postage, to facilitate this please place the items in your basket first, these then will show a combined postage cost for all items, when you come to pay at eBay checkout. '
Simple Delivery does still have its faults, but also bonuses such as eBay will fully refund when an item is lost in the post or received damaged in transit, sellers here get to keep those payouts.

Apologies @goldngl79 for the big white space in my answer above, the post would not allow me to start with your previous post I was trying to answer, and deleted some of my answer? !
Please be aware, any unused labels a buyer has paid for are automatically refunded to the buyer, it can take 30 days, but they are refunded.

Yep, that's correct once the labels are triggered it marks it as dispatched.
Guess the answer there is to print them only when you are going to post the items asap, so as not to receive those late delivery marks.
