Is it possible that a seller uses simple delivery just to scam ebay? I have this in my mind, despite the fact the item is flagged as dispatched, for some reason it get lost(I dont know how they do it) and ebay is refunding the buyer but in the meantime the seller got the money and never had the intention to ship the real item.
Am I mad?
cheers

Items are marked as despatched as soon as the postage label is generated, rather than when the item is actually despatched which would be far more logical and useful. If the item doesn't then show as being accepted into the carrier network on the tracking then eBay will make the seller refund in the event of an INR claim, so simply generating the label, so that the item is marked despatched, wouldn't work.

No, it's not an option for Private sellers, it's mandatory for a Private seller to use Simple Delivery .

We are seeing ebay being scammed by sellers using Simple Delivery.

It may help to read "despatched" as "processing".
