Anyone know why the Global Shipping Centre in Lichfield NEVER update their tracking to item received by them? This is especially relevant now due to the wonderful new payment rules. I've had items half way to the USA and confirmation of delivery to Lichfield by the carrier BUT still comes up as "not received". Did they send a box of fresh air?-after all, my item was "not received"!! This has happened for years-it's not new BUT if E-Bay insist on implementing these rules, they should ensure that their partners, ie. GSP, have WORKING systems in place. Is the system broken or is it laziness, incompetence or what?

Not correct. Ebay releases money 2 days after delivery to Lichfield not the final destination. I got my money after 2 days.

I can follow a GSP from my house to the hub and beyond but I’ve opted out of GSP now.

Hi i sent a package to the GSP ebay depot at Lichfield on the 10th Feb 25, It was collected from me and then it was delivered to the north west super hub on the 11th Feb 25 who then sent it to North Midlands MC hub on the same day but now the tracking has not updated to say its been delivered to the GSP Lichfield depot and without that confirmation Ebay will not pay me. Will the tracking update when they send to the buyer in the USA as im panicking at the moment as i sent it royal mail 48hrs and im thinking royal mail have forgot to scan as delivered. Does anyone else have any experience of something not being scanned but then updated at a later stage as im clinging onto the hope of Ebay updating the international tracking and confirming they have the package. Please note that in this kind of situations, this would be out of our hands, as it is your courier the one in charge of scanning your parcel as delivered to our hub, if the update doesn't go through their system, that is something we are unable to control from our end. However, I've seen a few members complaining about this, so I will make the team aware of this to see if they can some how let know couriers about this to try preventing this from happening again in the future. Also, just to confirm, with GSP orders, funds are released within 24 hours after tracking confirms delivery to our hub.

Not sure we are on the same page, please note that when I say that we have no control over delivery scans, I am not blaming anyone. With this I mean that we honestly do not have a way to mark an item as delivered to our hub when the parcel comes from you to our hub, as this is all managed by the courier in charge of the delivery. If it's not showing as delivered, we might not be able to release the funds within 24 hours after delivery. Now, when it goes from our hub to the buyer (final destination), then we do have a way to action this.
If you are referring to funds being held with your reply above, which I believe is the case, please note that if tracking confirms delivery, and it was only delivered yesterday, it might still be processing under the 24 hours period. If the funds are still being held by tomorrow, let me know, and I'd be happy to look into it for you.

Good evening Marco. A suggestion, if i may : when an item is DISPATCHED by Pitney Bowes from Litchfield the inbound tracking status from the ebay seller should automatically change to 'received' if it isnt already at that status [ ie it can only be dispatched if it has actually been received]. That would take only a very small amount of coding to implement and would remove at a stroke all of the current issues that sellers have with GSP being blamed for holding back payment receipt

Hi Marco, I have payment on hold although my item reached the Midlands Delivery Centre last wednesday- Monday now. There is no record of it moving to the GSP Hub. So my payment is on hold indefinitely until I don't know when. In the last I have never had this issue and I've happily used GSP and all delivery updates were prompt as were payouts. Now, I am out of pocket for postage and without the item or payment. Is there anything I can do, or just be patient? It has given me a very bad taste, and I have already started opting out of GSP due to the unreliability I am experiencing and lack of available funds. Regards.

I've just checked for you, and the funds for that transaction are not being held. They're showing as available in your eBay balance.

I've just checked this for you, and the tracking is still showing as in transit in Royal Mail's website. Because there is still no delivery confirmation, the funds wouldn't be released.

I've sent two items nearly 10 days ago to the global shipping hub both royal mail tracked and all the tracking states is item dispatched so my question is has it reached them and they have not scanned it or are royal mail having issues with delays in getting it there as other royal mail tracked items I've sent to private addresses have been delivered on time and if it's never correctly updated what happens to my funds.

I am in same position as you. Has there been any movement on yours yet? They say to use global shipping for peace of mind, not finding that at all!
