When creating a listing I cannot see anywhere to enter postage cost

Hi,

Firstly, I've not sold anything for quite a while...and it seems things have changed in that time.

I've created a listing for something I want to sell but where do I add shipping cost? I seem to be able to add the weight and the dimensions of the item I want to sell, but not the shipping price.

I've googled why that might be happening which took me to the US ebay discussion forum and someone there asked whether I used "flat shipping or calculated shipping" and tbh I don't even know what this means.

It's an unsual item so I went onto Parcel2go.com, which I regularly use in order  to get a specific quote and that figure is what I was wanting to enter here. I'm guessing that is no longer how it is done?

Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

GK

It's a strange quirk,  but if you select Courier and add dimensions etc it stops any further info on price being added !

Where you selected Courier, select standard postage:  small to medium items.  Then below click on Add primary service+.  From the pop up page that appears,  scroll to the bottom to selct the Courier service you wish to use.

Adding the service,  you will then see on the right ....  Buyer Pays add the postage cost there.

It's because you selected 'Courier: oversized item'.
I think if you use this it tells the buyer they need to contact you for postage costs (but it's only really for mahoosive things!).

Select something like 'other courier (3-5 days)' and you will be able to fill in the price.

@tressygirl

I always select 'courier' and add the dimensions and the postage price section is available.

Thanks @tressygirl - that worked.

But so strange...this is a mixer console for a music production studio...quite heavy so far from small to medium....plus the option I've selected is a courier....seems so counter intuitive.

But i appreciate the help....I got there in the end 🙂

Hi @kempseykate thanks a lot for your response

I did what @tressygirl suggested and that seemed to work.

I wasn't able to select "other courier (3-5 days)'....just the two options ("Standard postage: small to medium items" or "Courier: oversized items").

Anyway, got there in the hand

Cheers

@kempseykate

Strange isn't it never works for me, if I add courier and add dimensions there's nowhere to add a price ? 🤔

Odd, but perhaps it's the device and browser one uses.

Glad it worked for you, as said,  I  too can never find it just by adding courier and dimensions ,  it's just not there.  Sometimes browsers and different devices,  offer different options,  who knows !
