My parcel sent via Royal mail has not moved for days. If my item is lost, will they refund me? The item is a Garmin smartwatch , and it is quite expensive. I saw on the Royal mail website that they do not compensate for watches. Should I consider that they will not compensate me ? Has anyone had a similar experience? I did not make any additional payments, it was a standart delivery with saying it covers up to £150 , thanks

Don't do anything yet. Do not contact the buyer. They will contact you if they don't get it. Tracking often does not update on ebay. So they have probably received it.

Thanks I tracked the item on the Royal Mail website. This is already the second item that has gone missing this month. My question is more about the compensation for my loss, This is not money I can afford to lose.

With Royal Mail I believe only Special Deilvery covers things like watches.

My first lost item was sent with a 24-hour tracking service, and the second one was sent with a 48-hour delivery service. In this case, how can I claim compensation for my loss? Royal Mail lost my items, and my loss is far beyond what I can afford. I need a solution.

You can certainly try a claim. If you bought the postage through ebay here's how:

If you bought from Royal Mail or your post office you claim direct from them via their website or the PO.

I purchased the shipping label from eBay, but Packlink does not work with or accept Royal Mail services. How can I proceed with a claim through the Post Office (PO)?
I filled out the form for the first item through the Royal mail website, but I am still waiting for a decision

You say you bought a label on ebay but that they didn't offer Royal Mail which you ended up using? If that's right that is why your tracking is not updating. You've used different postage. You should contact ebay to get the tracking changed. Use callback on here:

If you need to claim if you have to filled in a form through RM's website you don't need to do one at the post office too. That will be a duplicate. RM does take quite a long time so just wait to hear from them.

I got the label from eBay and didn't buy it from anywhere else. You suggested I contact Packlink, but they told me they don't work with Royal Mail and recommended I reach out to Royal Mail directly, which I’m not sure how to explain. After a loss, it is nearly impossible to reach Royal Mail. They only provide a form, and they make you wait for weeks. The phone lines are a joke, and the people who answer usually just ask for the tracking number and read the tracking status from Royal Mail’s website, which I can see myself.
This is the second time in the same month that my item has been lost, and I have no idea what to do.

Claims do take ages so you just have to wait for that. If you originally bought the watch using your credit card maybe that's another avenue you could explore.

I purchased the watch from another platform . It was sold on eBay. How can I request compensation on the credit card I used to buy the watch?

It depends on when you bought it and if they will compensate for loss in transit after purchase. Ring your credit card company and ask them. Or maybe it's covered by your home insurance. Worth checking.
