Simple delivery’s a great idea but the postal rates have to be set fairly for all. E Bay rates are a shambles but they have no real interest in user comments & ignore all. I could post a cd for £1.90 if rates were fairly set even £2 gives e bay a nice little slice, but no it has to be the E Bay way where buyers & sellers are fleeced by a £2.72 EBay charge. I hope others like myself take the time to search out other sites which are I have found are much fairer & not a rigid fixed profiteering system of postage rates.

Simple Delivery only utilises tracked services at present. £2.72 is the Simple Delivery price for Royal Mail Tracked 48 Large Letter.
For CD's under £20 you do normally have the option of using Custom Postage (Royal Mail Standard Tariff) instead of Simple Delivery, although it doesn't appear to be working correctly today (hopefully only a temporary glitch).

To clarify good advice received, over-the-counter Royal Mail T48 Large Letter costs £3.30 for tracked service with £75 insurance. Simple Delivery is cheaper and better with T48 including 10x the insurance value, plus protection from eBay for lost/damaged items and negative/neutral feedback.
And yes, you can enable Custom Postage to send RM 2nd Class Large Letter 250g for £1.90
This only has £20 insurance, but your proof-of-posting has a Reference Number on it which works as a crude tracking number, so it is good for smaller value items as you say. Good luck!
