Hi. Does anyone know if simple delivery takes into account the additional charge evri make for certain locations. A buyer, who lives in Shetland, bought a jigsaw from me to be sent by evri. Normally this would cost £2.94 but I think evri charge another £2.75 (?) because of her remote location. I have asked her if she paid the extra but haven't had a response. I don't want to send it if I'm going to be hit with an extra charge

Agree with sml192. My first SD sale was an Evri label to a remote area, and the buyer was only charged the standard rate. Neither the buyer or myself got hit with an extra charge.
One of the pluses of SD!

Ebay has negotiated special rates with the carriers. There won't be any additional charge as business contracts are based on averages so deliveries to remote areas will have already been taken into consideration.

Royal Mail charge exactly the same price for all deliveries throughout the UK ---take it to your local Post Office --- Considering the additional premium charged, it is often cheaper to use Royal Mail than Couriers who will charge extra for delivery to so called 'remote locations' in Highlands, Islands and Northern Ireland.
