Given that I only ever used Royal Mail, and occasionally Evri in extremis, it hasn't made much difference to me; in fact it's been a slight improvement.
Of course it's better for some people than others. For instance Yodel would be useless to me as there's no pick-up point for them near me.
e-Bay do claim that they are hoping to add more 'Partners' in the future but that's not much use now.
At least all Private Sellers are in the same boat so if you have to raise your prices so will everybody else meaning yours will be at no disadvantage.
