Simple Delivery - so no more free P&P?

Am I understanding this correctly? After years and years of ebay strongholding all sellers into selling items with free P&P, they will now make it mandatory for all new listings (for private sellers) to have a tracked postage fee which the buyer can see and must pay?

And the prices they show in their simple delivery table (link below) applies to both Royal Mail and Evri? It's very confusing. I can't see how sellers who sell 75g large letter items for £5 + free postage will be able to continue selling.

No - when setting up the listing with Simple Delivery - you can tick that 'Seller Pays' the postage so the buyer would see Free Delivery.

Items at £5 and 75g can still choose Custom Postage as well.
