I can't speak for every private seller but I hope I can for a vast majority or mostly all after some online research.

Ebay have destroyed the freedom for private sellers with this dreadful "simple delivery".

It does not work, it never will and every single aspect of it needs immediate scrapping. We just want the old original system back putting us in charge of our postage and packing including how we price postage costs and the freedom to use whichever service we wish without Ebay's control or direct interference.

I wrote a letter of complaint to Ebay UK's London address and got a response back from an email address which of course you can't reply to. The correspondence just said your feedback has been acknowledged and we've added more opt out options.

The only opt I would like to see is "simple delivery" gone completely. I don't require nor want a business account and private sellers shouldn't be punished or controlled like this.

I've sold and bought on Ebay for over 20 years and both private sellers and business sellers make up an important part of this marketplace platform.

FOR THE EBAY "POWERS AT BE", PLEASE JUST LISTEN AND GET RID OF SIMPLE DELIVERY!

yes we did and 3x occasions out of 5x items it failed us ...

on the last occasion DHL didn't even show up even after calling their office 4x

...with that level of uncertainty in the mix, I'm never using it again.

I'm going to guess that you havent used SD in the last few months, you can still sell and its even easier now. You just go to the post office or local corner shop for me and they scan a QR print out a label for me and i attach it to the parcel. Its actually easier than before and takes less time.

If you have used it recently, where are you finding it takes longer or more faff on as I'm at a loss as of where you encounter this.

i’d agree, get off eBay. The actual business sellers in your niche would be delighted.

I have also sold on ebay as a private seller for 20 years , only listed and sold 2 items in the past 12 Months because thats all i have listed.

However i have tried to list some motorcycle parts which is my hobby this week and have failed miserably.

I dont know why but i can only list motorcycle crankcases as collection only, been trying to do custom postage , large item postage , every sort of drop box ebay software postage and nothing has worked.

Result is all the items i was going to sell will now go elswhere as i am not using ebay as a platform to sell.

More trouble than it is worth. Ebay you have gone from a very good selling platform to a nightmare for people listing.

If you dont want Private sellers just say so. Off to vinted now along with a lot of other people no doubt

Easiest thing to do is call it a crankcase in the title and description but when it comes to which section you want it under, then pick something else.
