Ridiculous simple delivery

Does anybody else think that this simple delivery is nothing more than a scam by ebay to make more money, a lot of items l now cannot list a lot of items as free postage because ebay want to charge me over £2 for something which l want to send as letter rate 87p second class, whats the point l may as just as well give it away, it now looks like l will be leaving ebay thanks to this stupid postage policy.

I just pretended I wanted to sell a pound note and could have listed it with normal Second Class postage no problem.

In certain categories (which can be found at https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/posting-items/setting-postage-options/simple-delivery?id=5575#se... and includes coins &c)  if you enter a price of less than £10 you can choose your own postage like we used to.  The option doesn't show UNTIL you have entered such a price though.
