Postal problems

I live in Jersey and every time I try to purchase an item, I receive an error message saying the seller doesn’t post to my region.  Each time I check with the seller, they tell me this is wrong.  This has happened many times now and with many sellers.  Also, if I ask for a postage quote the amount is shown in US$. I have no connection with the US.  I’ve reported to eBay several times and got nowhere. Can anyone help please?

This happens because Evri, one of ebay's preferred couriers charges Europe rates for the CI.  Sellers can opt out of Evri and use RM who charge the same rate for CI as UK.

If it works the same as Guernsey, the seller has to offer a Europe or Worldwide postage rate; at least for items sent Simple Delivery [and possibly other items], as the seller (probably) can't use Simple Delivery to Guernsey.

And the seller has to not block Guernsey/Jersey/Channel Islands.
