I used the simple delivery method but have since discovered EVRI won’t take the size of parcel and I’ve had to arrange it myself using parcel force and use the label provided by eBay . My question is can I upload the tracking info anywhere so eBay gets the alert when delivered.

Unfortunately, no there is no longer an option to add tracking where a Simple Delivery label has been provided. You can message the buyer with the tracking number and if the buyer should subsequently open an 'Item not received' claim then you will be able to upload the tracking number at that point to defend the claim.

how big was it?
this on google and from ebay cs "For Evri on eBay, parcels can weigh up to 15kg, with a max length of 120cm and a combined length + girth (2x width + 2x height) of 245cm for ParcelShop/Courier drop-offs, though Locker options have smaller size limits (e.g., 62x39x57cm)"
I had this issue with my local tesco express, it was not evri but tesco. Complained to ebay and told they had to take the parcel. tesco local have now stopped the service.
Most post offices take evri, only use them as i get a receipt with tracking number whereas other shops i had to enter email address on the tiny pad!
Have you spoken to ebay c/s?
there is an option to add / edit note in the sold item, might be worth inputting tracking there to show what you have done, as regards prove of delivery in the ebay account, dunno!

Yeah, the box turned out to be 275 so just over. Parcelforce took it for £12 through parcel monkey and was delivered to the IOM from East Sussex in 48 hrs.
