Hi, I am listing some small Auction items for £5.00, £6.00 per item and do not want to pay
the Ebay Postage of £2.70 . I have been sending these items with 1st class post and now
there does not seem to be a option to continue to do this. Has anybody got any suggestions
how to overcome this problem. Many thanks.

Opt out of Simple Delivery during the listing process, also remove details of parcel weight etc. then you should be able to put the postage you want.

One option would be to incorporate the postage price into the asking price and list the item with free postage.

Thank you for your reply but I feel that the buyer is already paying extra with the buyer's protection fee
now, and to add on the extra postage makes the item overpriced. I previously sold these lots with free postage.
Many thanks for your suggestion.

Simple delivery has just appeared on my listings. To opt out you have to click on advanced postage options and then custom postage.
It is extremely annoying as every listing I do now is throwing away my previous postage settings and making me put them in again. I have not yet relisted in bulk but I am worried about what will happen to my postage when I do.
I did try an experiment of agreeing to the simple delivery. I set the weight and size and it came up with the correct amount a buyer would pay. But when the listing went live I checked and the amount the buyer would pay for postage was lower than had been stated. So I was worried the label would be inadequate and went back to custom postage.
